Number 1 is that you should check with your nearest social services agency! Find out if there are any programs - both grant and otherwise - that you are eligible to apply for. If you are considered low-incomed then there may even be more programs that you may qualify for. In some case you can even apply for some of these programs online.
Since we are in the midst of winter time you may be able to receive some financial help with your heating bill. In my own area alone I know of at least 4 programs that help with paying towards a low-incomed person's heating bill - so again - check with your nearest social services agency because that is what they are there for.
I don't know if have noticed it or not but Aidpage is looking for people to join an earning program that they have - you should see the link at the top of the Aidpage page - if you are interested then you should click on the link to see if it is something that you might be interested in.
Although I do a lot of grant research and consultations one thing that doesn't seem to get mentioned here is government jobs! Besides having a website that lists their grant programs, the government also has a site that list the job openings that they have and boy do they have a LOT of them! These job listings are broken down by area, state and location - and once you get a government job you will get good benefits as well.
I am also a Dream Job Consultant which simply means that I help people reach their dream jobs. I mention that because I'm wondering what your dream job is? Whatever it is there is probably someone who is doing it now or doing something close to it.
There are of course a lot of working from home sites but I advise you to find out more about them before you decide to sign up with them. That's why I recommend you choosing something taken from something that you love to do - to turn that into a business of your own.
I think you are overlooking the powerful resource that you have in your own computer and it's access to the Internet.
